Holy Rood RC High News
- Our annual Careers Fair was a great success with over 400 pupils engaging with over 40 employers/ representatives from Finance, IT, Legal Service, Public Service, Childcare, Construction, Hospitality, Engineering and the Creative Arts as well as from Edinburgh College and five universities. Many thanks to all those parents who came along to the event and the information session to support their child in making course choices to support their career pathway. The feedback has been very positive with many echoing the comments received “Thanks for making all industry champions and exhibitors so welcome. The event was one of the most well organised I have attended to date” and “Your pupils at the front door gave us a lovely welcome and professionally led us to our stand”.
- A group of S1 pupils represented Holy Rood at the Giant Heptathlon. The pupils competed against 7 schools in the north east of Edinburgh. Well done to all involved.
- 1+2 Modern Languages – S2 Italian pupils are currently completing a short block of language 3 which for them is French. Lessons have been linked to numeracy, literacy and Health and Well-being. S1 French pupils are completing a 6 week block in language 3 which for them is Italian, they are also learning about food and the history of Italian pizza.

- S2 Information Evening – 24 February- 6.30-7.30 . You are encouraged to come to the Faculty Fair from 5.30-6.30pm to speak to subject specialists to help support your child’s review of learning.
