Business Education at Holy Rood RC High School
Business plays an important part in everyones’ life. The course is practical and experiential and the key focus is creativity. The course combines developing knowledge and understanding of businesses small and large, with practical experiences.
The pupils will develop an understanding of the factors that influence business and the economy works.
In Business Education, pupils are developing their computing and business skills, media handling and developing thier knowledge of business processes. As a department we aim to develop student creativity, confidence and their ability to self-reflect. We focus on creating confident individuals, successful learners, responsible citizens and effective contributors by putting learners at the centre of everything we do.

The National 5 Business Management course helps pupils develop an understanding of the economic and financial environment in which businesses operate. This enables them to make an effective contribution to society as consumers, employees, employers or self-employed people.

The Higher Business Management course helps pupils understand the dynamic, changing and competitive environment of industry and commerce, and the environments that organisations operate in. It develops skills in communicating and presenting business-related information to stakeholders.
