Criminology at Holy Rood RC High School
An NPA in criminology engages learners of all ages, interests and abilities. Criminology is the scientific study of crime, including its causes, responses by the criminal justice system and methods of prevention. Pupils will study the nature and extent of crime, crime in the community, forensic science and crime control strategies.

Criminology

The main aims of these courses are to enable learners to develop knowledge of crime, criminal behaviour and the criminal justice system. Pupils develop an understanding of the contribution of the study of crime to the modern world and human behaviour.
