Here is the update of recent events/news from Holy Rood, your Cluster Secondary School.

  • Many thanks to all the parents and carers who attended the Faculty Fair and S2 Information Evening on Monday 24 Fe
  • We were delighted to welcome Deacon John Smith and Father Jock who led our Ash Wednesday Services for all pupils. Voting for the Lenten Charity is well underway and all fundraising during this period will be donated towards the pupils’ chosen charity.
  • All S3 pupils attended the Careers Hive STEM Event at the National Museum on Wednesday 26 Feb. Pupils learned about STEM careers and tested their skills in the interactive workshop.
  • All S1 French pupils celebrated Mardi Gras with a party, including a visit from our own Roi du Canavale who distributed babioles amongst his subjects – a wonderfully fun and cultural experience for all!
  • Congratulations to Callum Fielding in S5 won the Global Citizen Award for Scotland through his work with the Police Scotland Youth Volunteers. He had to write and present a talk about sustainability. Callum will have the opportunity to travel to Zambia to put his talk into practice over the summer holidays.
