Here is this week’s update of recent events/news from Holy Rood, your Cluster Secondary School.
- With one week remaining of SQA Exams, we thanks you for your prayers for all S4-6 pupils who will sit SQA exams over the next week. We look forward to welcoming our senior pupils back to school for their respective Induction Programmes , S5 on Mon 4th June and S6 on Tuesday 5th
- Our S4 pupils who are being presented for 5 or more National 4 exams have completed week 2 of the “Meaningful May Programme” involving a visit to the Apex Hotel to learn more about the hospitality industry, a Fitness Challenge and sessions from Investment 20/20 as well as Barclays and many other in-house led activities. Pupils will achieve the SQA Personal Development Award and SQA Steps to Work Group Award on successful completion of the programme.
- A group of S1-3 pupils visited Piershill Library with our school librarian in order to introduce them to new and different genres of fiction and extend their literary opportunities.
- Next week, we have a number of planned Primary Transition Events as we look forward to welcoming our Cluster P6 and P7 pupils to Holy Rood. On Tues 29 May , pupils from St John’s, St Mary’s and St Francis will participate in a Quidditch Tournament and compete for a Championship Trophy whilst on Wed 30 May, all Cluster P6 pupils and their parents have been invited to participate in a STEM DAY with exciting activities led by our teachers of Science and Design, Engineering and Technology.
