• Huge congratulations to all of our senior pupils who achieved awards in their SQA qualifications.
  • We were delighted to see such a large number of our outgoing S6 pupils securing university and college places. We wish them well in their future studies.
  • We welcomed back our pupils from the summer holidays. We are especially delighted to welcome our full intake of 220 S1 pupils all looking wonderfully smart in their school uniforms and exceptionally keen to get started.
  • Congratulations on music exam success to Nathan Turino – Grade 5 Cello (merit), Bilaal Azhar – Grade 3 Cello, Djamilla Kouwalskawioleta – Grade 2 Cello.
  • Over 80 of our pupils attended an Edinburgh International Festival workshop on Gicaomo Puccini’s Opera “La Bohème” in school in preparation for the performance which they were treated to on Friday evening.
  • Well done to our stars of the stage – Enda Gormley (S2) for his recent Fringe performance in Pippin and to our pupils who performed in a Lyra Theatre Fringe Show.
  • Over 100 pupils attended  7 Book Festival Events of the course of the week:- Holly Bourne & Cat Clarke, The Last Poets: Speak Up Newcomer, Nicola Morgan, Cathy MacPhail, Steven Camden & Jared Thomas, Robert Muchamore and Darren Shan.Staff were treated to a thought provoking and insightful session from Karyn McCluskey, CEO Community Justice Scotland on the Inservice Day. Karyn reminded us all “how much positive force for change” we are in the lives of  our young people and said she found the session “uplifting”. Staff were inspired by Karyn’s words.
  • We look forward to a very fruitful year ahead for all working in partnership with parents, our Cluster Primaries and Parishes as well as with our many outside agencies in the wider community.
