Holy Rood RC High News

  • 20 S3 Science pupils visited the National Museum of Scotland to visit the Parasites exhibition and attend a “What is Malaria?” Workshop. Pupils worked with professional researchers to diagnose and treat malaria infections.
  • A group of six pupils and their Science teacher visited the site of the new Meadowbank stadium as part of the Go4Set Challenge which is sponsored by Graham Construction. The pupils toured the site and discussed their project with their sponsors. They have been invited for a return visit in August when more of the building work will be completed.
  • We have launched the new Supported Study Programme for our senior pupils which runs from February until April. Teachers from 21 different subjects across the school are offering lunchtime and after school study sessions to offer pupils extra support in their preparation for the forthcoming SQA exams which commence on 23 April. This is a great resource and opportunity for our senior pupils and we strongly advise them to engage well with the programme.
